This topic came at a perfect time, because I watched One Punch Man for the first time tonight.
To be honest, I wasn’t sure if this was another typical shounen-type of series. It reeks of Dragonball Z everywhere.
But then I sat in for the session with Makoto Furukawa at the Anime Festival Asia, and I was intrigued.
I see why now. I’m already on to episode 4, and I haven’t stopped laughing at how ridiculously exaggerated the whole thing has been.
And that face… that face… that Saitama face…
This is the face of a very practical man. Someone who lives on a day-to-day basis. No airs of being the strongest man alive. If you must fight, do it when the supermarket doesn’t have a sale. Knock on his front door, not destroy his ceiling. Don’t tell your sob story. Get to the point.
Yes, this has been very, very refreshing. Like Ouran levels of refreshing.
